The Covid-19 situation is still affecting all of us. However, our organising committee is working extra hard to make this year’s Mixed Doubles Bern happen! From Initially 37 teams, after many withdrawals because of travel restrictions, it looks like the final number of participating teams this year will be anywhere between 24 and 28.
We want this year’s event to be as close as possible to our successful events of the past years. However, we have to adapt the playing schedule at short notice, depending on the final number of teams which can make it to Berne. We will possibly have to play in a group mode rather than in our traditional Triple K.O. system. The playing schedule will be sent out 1 week before the event. Anyway, please be prepared for your first game being possibly on Friday at 7.30 am. Also, we will have to adapt the prize money to the final number of participating teams. If you have transferred the entry fee and cannot make it due to Covid-19, you will get a 100% refund.
At Curling Bern, we will have some guidelines which we will have to follow (Covid-19 safety concept). This will affect for example the cleaning of the rocks, the paths inside our building, the changing facilities, the Player’s Lounge (sadly, no Nintendos this year…), etc. We will inform you about this concept in detail a few days before the event. Please respect and follow our guidelines at any time. We want to hold our event as safe as possible and as “normal” as possible at the same time. We are very much looking forward to the event!
